An empty parallel universe
One of the many downsides to being trapped, living a life being forced to listen to the voices of the past, one might consider it to be a parallel universe, or subconscious, whatever works for you. But, when you're so used to having consecutive thoughts running through your mind day in and day out, you begin to cherish the days to where you can get a break from it all, and for the first time, I get that chance........

I rarely got that chance You speak of here
as my mind goes and goes even when I sleep
but I have found a wee bit of peace;
i learned to meditate.
