Dreamt a little dream last night
one I'd long to repeat again
me and you in the midst of love
counting our blessings and then

when we got up to a million
I reluctantly opened my eyes
pulling you in right near me
offering a great big surprise

a romantic kiss on the lips
one for sure you didn't expect
as I gazed deep into those blues
your soul I swear did reflect

it was magic, but then again not
exuding peace from a radiant glow
I whispered hello so softly
and asked if you'd want to know

that my dreams do always include you
and I wake in search of your kiss
with promises holding tomorrow
