Tide and Time

Tide and time wait for no man  

Icy shards reflect what is seen  
but not what is meant to be  
I will wait not on tomorrow  
as the temples begin to grey  
 
time moves along but not alone  
it has hope, it has perseverance  
it's dawns erupt and it's dusks construct  
moments where feelings come alive  
 
where wanton needs are met  
on twisted trails or amid broken sails  
moments laying meaning to time  
lost in an incomprehensible continuum  
 
I will not wait on tommorow  
and let time dictate the day  
I will ride the trails  
I will open my sails  
in hope it will bring me to you
