Echoes of the winds

Echoes of the winds

Lyrics to your song
are forgotten for long,
yet when the wind whispers,
it chimes in B-minor –
the key of your sitar.

Hung on the melancholy, midnight blue,
the insomniac moon
minds my jejune quill –
stories sunken in the quicksand
of time are reborn;
the brightest pair of Orion –
the onyx of your eyes –
sheds cascades of scintillating silver,
floods my roof;
your name flows
in my bloodstream once more
