Espy the Storm

I espy a storm, risen in the west
enveloped in fanning flames
carried on the wind of plague

I weep the world over
whispered in silent circles
I dream of coups to distort the sun

Overtrodden with woe I begin to sew
Reaping in the huddled masses as Death comes sweeping

The smoke settles on the horizon
fleeting kisses for the west
I set my sights on the North star
the plains of ruin begot my hand

For damaged feathers set the pace upon tattered wings of my disgrace
I light the pyre as all else burns with ill desire

I espy a storm on the rise
the smoke of them all
North, South, East and West
