Closure To Yesterday

Poem dedicated to my newest professional upgrade to DON in New York 2019
 
A times when emotions, desires, have no more to say
Longings I can now quietly put away
My footsteps are now calling me in a unventured direction
No last minute hesitation
No more pit stops for trepidation
God grant me the things I do not understand
When beautiful words are delivered or deceived of man
 
The serenity to know the truth
Anoint my bed with sacred oil when I get a sweet tooth  
Numerology, Chakras, Astrology the kismet karma carbon copy of me
The microphone is always turned on as the flow of my creed is set free
I close my eyes, I am so ready for this
Pillow talk and kisses of Summer bliss
 
Storms have finally surrendered, bowed unto me, and rolled away
My Tanta balances my existence as I kneel and pray
Upriser to rooted feet to face the unknown
Kisess by Heaven’s Karma, uncertainties have fled and gone
Who knows where passion of love will flow
 
Its master of illusion smells sweet as rose
I once had the beautiful bouquet
Watered, sunshine of its soft petals I must say
Yet, dried up and sweetly withered away
 
My footsteps will be treading on new soil
Healing of the magnitude as my heart, and mind toils
I’m excited, scared, all rolled into one
What good is glory if you haven’t claimed it as you’ve already won
