Excrescence

The quick snip, and off with the head.
Bevelled meniscus of a drop of pale yellow-green.
Tacky, it clings.
Smoothed between two, rolled fingers to thin strands and flicked, discarded.
Rummaging again to find another, and then;
A quick, satisfying snip.
That cycle of pressure and relief,
Suspense then satisfaction.
