Daily Reading

You see my fervour for phrases
descriptions
and words

I've taken for granted
it will take you
some time to learn

The sound of my voice
since the day
you were born

Is the voice
you'll remember
through the roughest of storms

It's not so easy
to teach
these basics of reading

The chore of homework
and its intent
can be often misleading

Yet I know that you have this
through these tears
and our laughs

Some day
you'll discover
that it happened so fast.
