derivative

brainwashing
I arrived here
bashful at first
taking cues
from confident
seamstresses
stitching their
fantasies
and coercing
me to cross
the threshold
to say
and show a little more
the handle
- my anonymous presence
carried some resonance
with others
hiding
from complicated matters
this need
for retreat
to let the future self
reconcile a past life.

wow.... what can I say... just absolutely superb and marvelous... magnificent if I do say so myself..... I love how you worded this and reflected it almost as if you were just looking at your self through a mirror through your strange creature days.... I don't think I could have done any better..... you my friend have put my little example piece to shame.... Bravo!!!!!!

Never the intention. I always enjoy a prompt and after the writing binge of the past 15 hours, this was an appealing diversion. I always enjoy reflection pieces, but I have to tread carefully in the past sometimes or I fear I can get trapped in the feeling.

Yea I know I completely understand where you are coming from... sometimes self reflection can bring about a lot of hidden demons from our past and lost emotions about memories we chose to bury many years ago... and sometimes we end up resurrecting old relationships we thought we'd forgotten all about.... time travel is an experience best traveled through with a net and lid to keep our fragile and timid minds from collapsing under the stressful invocations we choose to remember....
