A Cool Pet Cat

It doesn't seem to matter that
my pet is such a strange wee cat
Instead of chasing birds and mice
he plays with cards and poker dice

He doesn't meow he doesn't purr
What he lacks is lots of fur
strangely too, he doesn't fret
at the very idea of getting wet

he loves to swim, he loves to dive
whilst under water he loves to jive
he's into music - hip hop and rap
he knows hot to bop, he knows how to tap

On Saturday nights in his red zoot suit
with his saxophone he's been known to toot
he can sing the blues all about his troubles
his favourite song "Forever Blowing Bubbles"

For a chair or a bed, he wouldn't thank
he prefers his life in his full glass tank
give him cat food and he will but sigh
preferring worms, prawns and large fruit flies

I would never swap him, I never could
cool, like The Fonz, always in a good mood
For a better pet, I could never wish
he may be strange, but he's my cool catfish
