Wakefulness

I'm not sure what wakes me
from a slumber that is not complete
It's either your soft lips
On the bottom of my ear lobe
Or your fingers running up my chest
Either way
Your desire is clear

I know you're at least topless
I can feel your nipples pressed into my back
My physical reaction
Is almost immediate
I stretch
Opening my heart center
My hands and arms reaching down
I rest one hand on your thigh
Silently begging patience
Your lips move to my neck
And your passion intensifies
Just as I have silently sought a moment's mercy
You have responded
“Absolutely not!”
Without saying a word

I give in
I can't stand the terrific torture of your teasing tongue on my skin
And you
Who have intentionally built me up to this moment
You have pushed enough buttons
To get exactly the response you want from me

I turn over
And take you
