Opera Diva

Opera Diva

Young and ebony
She sings opera
Down the YMCA hallway
Young and far from home
My lonely heart needs her
But my madness makes me
Remote as a polar bear
Who lumbers across arctic ice
While in the tundra of the night I roam
To where she does a coffee shop gig
For bread to sing about
In these tropically warmed halls
Where her voice is a passionate torch
In the Denver night
