RACIST
It is not enough
To say that you aren't
Even if you mean it
Even if you are sure
Look for the ways
In which you are
And dedicate yourself
To undoing those bindings
Finding them may be hard
But they are there
In more places
Than you think
Their sinuous fibers
So tightly wound
They might as well be
Metal shackles
And that is why
You are doing this:
Because at one time they were
And you have to remember
To say that you aren't
Even if you mean it
Even if you are sure
Look for the ways
In which you are
And dedicate yourself
To undoing those bindings
Finding them may be hard
But they are there
In more places
Than you think
Their sinuous fibers
So tightly wound
They might as well be
Metal shackles
And that is why
You are doing this:
Because at one time they were
And you have to remember

" Look for the ways

To undoing those bindings " <<---- if not yet awakened, Yeah, e1 should be clearing out the closets!
I think
even someone like me of mixed races may have those damn past learned racist barnacles attached.

"Look for the ways

And dedicate yourself
To undoing those bindings"
... a wholesome general recipe for undoing many a blind-spot. Very nicely put.

one of the blessings of this site is people accepting people of all races, creeds and colours - and no discrimination

An aspect of racism that I find interesting is what it symbolises in our current society.
