My Wild One

It had to be a dream
In the vortex of a storm
Serenaded towards the
lushness of the rainforest
resisting yet succumbing
the vines enveloping
helpless yet acutely aware.

Deep, rich and mellow green
Leaves rustling so gently
They barely moved
Unseen to the eyes.

Pray, what worked its magic
Felt; not heard those exquisite sounds
A violin from Heaven commanding
Cascades of waterfall.

Light through water
Beaming to awaken
Those still asleep.

And asleep must I have been
How then could you have surrounded me
Everywhere I went
It was you I saw.

In that rainforest
Followed the fallen cascades
Where the river flows
Leading to salvation.

Awakened then in me
The lush rainforest
The river flowed in me
As it did in you.

Thus was it not then a dream
But a life charmed and shared
In the lush rainforest of those eyes.

Of those eyes gazing so intensely
Of naive happiness derived from
From this fleeting moment in time.

So saw finally the beauty in your eyes
A kiss will no longer do
For the heart in deep love.

So embraced finally your soul
Tasted your tears
Conquered your fears
A kiss will no longer do
For the heart in deep love.

So being finally with you
Sharing your joy
Opening your heart
A kiss will no longer do
For the heart in deep love.

So saw finally the beauty in your eyes
The lush rainforest had I tread
What shall do is step for step
Breath by breath
Heartbeat by heartbeat;
My Wild one; you do know
Beneath those deep eyes
What lies beneath us all
Love for love
