for it is a crime
on streets of free verse
yes rhyme i will not
neither punctuate
nor accentuate
poem with a dot
well the elite mob
can say what they want
polish your own knob
my ink's not a rant
looking for meter?
or some design scheme
not a repeater
obeying old theme
happy to remain
the one on the fringe
your love for arcane
makes the masses cringe
i try to never rhyme
i truly try hard
rhyme's had its time

No intention to mock the excellent natural and skilled rhyme poets here just a satirical scribble...those who look closely will see the irony ;-)
On a serious note...well anything that sparks debate and brings to light the art of poetry is a plus.

Cold One!
That's awesome. I was beginning to take offense, because I rhyme everything but the kitchen sink, but then realized that it was the Cold One, and his awesome sense of humor!

where some would be 'short'
