Salvador

Favoring the life grotesque
Still silence on the balcony
The gentleman, razor in hand
Carves the initials "S" and "D"

But somehow his wife doesn't bleed
Smiling beneath the August moon
She indulges his every whim
Expecting that he'll finish soon

And their son finds a severed hand
Pointing directions on the street
He tips the finger with the ring
Still hoping to get home complete

Father, mother and wayward son
Now sit down for their final meal
And their dog begging for some scraps
Observes how life has turned surreal.
