Letting Go

Deep inside where they lay hidden
the anger and the pain reside
and never seem to leave, though bidden... but linger

and so I know wherefore you speak...
there's naught to do, but what you've done
and if it's any consolation...

I've found with age and passing time
there comes another paradigm.
and the times when pain invades your mind

will become less... and less... and less.
