Limbo

Travelling the roads constantly
busy to keep the addiction at bay
you slide further away from me

Finally home, exhausted
barely responding when I speak
already napping

There is no seduction
barely any devotion

I am rendered insignificant,
by default

Sleepless, tossing in the dark
craving the slightest touch

It is any wonder
I retreat to these fantastical worlds
where I get to flirt, play
and conjure delicious scenarios?

Real life seems suspended
in a possible future,
but will it ever come back to us
or is it all too tiring?
