My Retail Lover

( a Quatern )

You never know till once you fall in love,
The man who works in retail as a job.
And not just any clerk you might think of,
He manages a chain, he’s my heartthrob.

The day we met I couldn’t close my eyes,
You never know till once you fall in love.
Was shopping for a lover just my size,
The kind you hope will fit you like a glove.

So on Black Friday dealt with push & shove
By ladies after deals for lingerie.
You never know till once you fall in love,
I fought for every inch amid the fray.

Since then he works more hours than before
To keep the shoppers cooing like a dove.
Until he makes more time while off the floor,
You never know till once you fall in love.
