MY FIRST MARRIAGE

Nice, precise the idea delights

Thank you. This was a poem that just hit me in a flash. From inspiration to submitting was probably less than 5 minutes. I'm glad because so many times I've had this moment, and I never made the connection before.

I feel like there's an unwritten final stanza after the written one:

"We were driving—
No we were awakening
To the fact that we’d been driving"

quite profound
