I am not Like the Moon

When reason seeks the meaning of a man
a heart can sense things, eyes cannot see.
And when lives remain a great mystery,
God holds the clues with a symbolic
gentleness.

Our paths past are left in disarray
like children, we leave behind
a trail of sins not confessed,
but hidden & buried within our mind.

Now and then
spots and stains seem to appear
out of our darkened den
causing conviction, O so, near.

This is a process of growing
that perhaps, all of us must bear
But we have the ability and in knowing
to vanquish through prayer and share
and in sharing
cleanse.

In immaculate solitude
our lives are set in place
but lost within interludes

I am; and I am not like the moon
neither full of it, nor Bullshit!
I am raw and honest and within
my eccentricity, I am me
and often I laugh at them
for being the same.

In all the world's spinning out of control
and all the present day craziness
Intimate friendships are difficult
to find no less cultivate
and despite our fears, our stress
let us not be indolent in our attempts
to try.

If only for now
let us try.
