Image for the poem Your Beloved

Your Beloved

You left my lips moist from etching your tongue around them.

You placed your hands over my brown eyes as you guide me to your lover's nest.

The sweet smell of your cologne brushing through my nostrils, like a feather.

I can't deny I want you and all the side effects that come with.

No warning labels attached to you so I can take heed and tread cautiously.

You make me feel like the world is still and it is just me and you living in it vicariously.

Can I be Juliet and you be my Romeo living the Shakespearean dream.

Can I just be in your arms forever under a waterfall in the highest amazonian forest known to man.

Can I be your wife with our fates and hearts sealed together through God's plan.

I want your eyes to be for me and only me never losing its gaze.

I swear you got me all figured out like a once unsolved maze.

I wouldn't know what to do if I ever lost my beloved.

I probably wouldnt be able to live with myself if you ever died.

Love is right, love is true

Love is pure and grand when I'm sharing it with  you.

Oh my sweet love give me all of you and don't hold anything back.

Lets be each other's highs and indulge in the drug thats called our love.

Let me be everything you need,

Let me be your nubian queen,

Let me be the fire that ignites your deepest desires.
