When We're Old
When we're old and grey and a little slow
when the sky seems far but oh so close
when the years to come have all but gone
and I've somehow forgotten your favourite song
will the sea still be a such calming scene
as suns set down on two fragile beings
will you still tie hearts in pretty bows
and will all you think be all I know
can promises be kept and our trust remain
will thoughts be clear in a world insane
can our smiles be more than they are today
will tomorrows be filled your happy sway
will silhouettes dance upon a naked wall
and in my arms will your worries still fall
will your lips be there for a timely embrace
as i look at love in your beautiful face
when you are old will you still stay so near
living out life with our feelings sincere
when the sky seems far but oh so close
when the years to come have all but gone
and I've somehow forgotten your favourite song
will the sea still be a such calming scene
as suns set down on two fragile beings
will you still tie hearts in pretty bows
and will all you think be all I know
can promises be kept and our trust remain
will thoughts be clear in a world insane
can our smiles be more than they are today
will tomorrows be filled your happy sway
will silhouettes dance upon a naked wall
and in my arms will your worries still fall
will your lips be there for a timely embrace
as i look at love in your beautiful face
when you are old will you still stay so near
living out life with our feelings sincere
