The Calling Of The Heart

Have entered a celestial Twilight Zone
Alluring words I once found confidence in, turned me on
Allowed your beautiful tales to spin me with tender care
Now just a reminisce of a forgotten love affair
As I danced in the shadows of merriment on a wing and a prayer

Blurred lines have been crossed
Echoes in the winds have been lost
Minds and hearts have been shaken and then tossed
This poem is dedicated to the gift of mental rain
The one who nailed seductive narratives deep within my brain
Then hammered my heart with agony and sweet pain
A heart stain
The ink is dry but sweet memories is all that remains

Mind to mind
Spices of love, enticing tasteful seasons
Two ships have collided for all the wrong reasons
Cannot reach a higher plateau to seek a common ground
Words said cannot be heard if no one makes a sound

Reversal of fortune from last words said
Are you tossing and turning thinking about me while lying in your bed
Actions you should have taken, now covets the perceptions in your head

All the caressing whispers has been whisked once spoken
As we played, flirted, never in the open
When the heart stills beat, and the hurt has been washed away
Who will hold and love you now on a rainy day

Someone so special who made me once laugh, smile, feel good on the run
Words cherished in the dark meant for fun
The brightest star in the sky no longer shines
To err is human to forgive is divine

One thing about bridges, London does fall
No voice, no face, yet heeded to such a beautiful call
To have or have not
My heart, my emotions were tied to you as a Guardian knot
Are you happy

I’m not afraid of a rant, am I? I've got to that point where I’ve just become a woman; I think I've just grown.
