Daddy's Hopes
Daddy had hoped to marry me off to
a well placed Mister... who'd take care of his daughter...
But lo and behold...
that was not meant to be...
I turned to the arts and stayed free
to be me...
Archaic strictures are a pain and a bore...
they just hold us back from being
...so much more...

a time for moving on...
to embrace a new reality...
rising with the dawn.
And with it came a steaming heap
of crap to overcome...

Thank you Snuggles... that's a very nice sentiment indeed...I don't rate a 'perfect' often... hugs, old buddy... can I talk your lovely kitty into delivering those hugs for me?
I hope I was not too much of a disappointment to my Dad... though I suppose the fact that I was supporting myself and my horse, two cats, three goats and a passel of ducks and chickens helped some.

Pekin crosses... and a small assortment of geese...one was called ''Rusty gate hinge... he sounded Like one.
