Purple Carnations

Clipped carefully
on the angle
as I was taught
fussing with them
to fill the vase
in plush radiance.

They work well
with the matching tissue paper
and the white and black gift bag.

I hope she will free one
and place it between her teeth
when she models the new underwear.
