A familiar "hello"

All dressed up in deceit, It's an instant attraction.
I glare down at my feet, what a nervous reaction.

She burns through my thoughts, I prepare for the worst.
My stomach in knots, I fumble my words.

I approach this with caution, for i've been here before.
And I haven't forgotten beauty lures me to war.

In a fiery trance I don't want it to show,
but averting my glance I dodge this hello.

Author's Note
Accurate description of my distorted view of a pretty encounter.
I dodged a bullet, but it was a shiney bullet.
