Claiming to find me, but I was never lost
Manipulation, I did not foresee
He wasted his ink writing those love letters
Because he never truly loved me
He was way too familiar from early on
Should had known he was just lonely
Placing the blame on everyone else
Reasonable? He couldn’t be
He drained the energy from my heart and soul
There was no real chemistry
Took a lot of courage to leave him cold
There’s happiness in being free

This is about my ex. I didn't comprehend how devious he was at the time, until I left and concentrated on my own needs. These poems remind me not seek backwards
