Our Secret Alliance

We need a cover story,
if we are doing this
a safe, secure barricade
if we should kiss

As I cartwheel
from the past to the now
the answer is clear
but I'm not sure how

to execute the solution
we collectively seek
without harming another
should we happen to peek

the traumas that haunt us
need delicate hands
to subside all the feelings
that our bodies demand

We'll replace and create them
and see that the pain has been siphoned
but only few of us can
engage what must be enlightened.
