Slippage

Willpower seems a fragile thing
When temptation starts to loom
Meth and drink, my enemies
Have me cornered in this single room

But I struggle with this taste
For the substances that I've abused
My sanity now borderline
And my conscience is not amused

Will I take a morning whiff?
The meth travelling up my nose
Followed by a shot of alcohol
I won't be blooming like a rose

I can't say I'm staying clean
But they no longer have me by the balls
I have been known to take a slip
But will be here when duty calls.
