I wanted my brain to whirl like a
pinwheel in a storm,
to open itself to the kaleidoscope
of swirling color.

I didn’t need it but I wanted it,
and that’s the conundrum now isn’t it.

A little whisper across the synapse,
lighting up the pathways
with your electricity;
melting me down.

Hyper gadgets tuned to “go”, vibrating
with synchronicity; out of touch
with the physical void
that holds us apart.

The atmosphere flashes so bright it
burns my brain; the searing swell
laps across my middle.

tighten…
….then spasm.
