Hope

The hardest thing is to say goodbye
But broken wings weren't meant to fly
They fail and send you toward the ground
Where you lie in earth without a sound

The act itself, not hard at all
When there's nowhere farther you can fall
Simply look inside the glass
And take your place within the grass

It's just the few who love you still
That test your mournful, iron will
For all the aching, valiant tries
The barricade is in their eyes

And so I live another day
And pray that you come out to play
For the child in me, while still alive
Can only stay if you survive.

I'm sorry I write so depressingly. If you're sick of it, just turn me off...like the world. lol.
I started a more upbeat poem yesterday, but never finished it. Sad ones come easier.
But it's just writing, right?
