Tigerís Honor

( a Rensaku: linked Tanka )
  † †
While you are away †
from my scent ó †
the Underworld †
in serpentís split lava flow †
keeps you from me. †
† †
But while I am away †
on head of a diamond ó †
Peleís grove †
of hummingbird trees †
in phallus upheaval. †
† †
When you are gone †
no longer in ascent, †
you are in the farthest †
corners from the Buddha; †
ĎNen nen fu ri shiní. †
† †
But when I am gone, †
under slumbering sun, I †
stalk the fevered riverbank †
for one who keeps
your eyes averted.

ĒNen nen fu ri shinĒ means
"Thought after thought are not separate from mind."
