Bear

Smoking was a meditation
For the do-er
But a serial seduction
To the observer
So much so that
The smoldering
"Blue Havana Cigar"
Reeled me deep
Into the heart
Of the leather scene
Draping (particularly) the female nudity
Among US in bear skin
Stealth mode
With formal codes
(Prohibiting fragrances, for eg)
Who refused to be caught
Looking at anything
That they shouldn’t be
(like fish in the river)
And the women were infrequent
Or sparse enough
To atomize
The normal social dynamic
For the glory
Of the species
Emanating
From the moon
So, there weren't so many
That you couldn’t penetrate
This fear of the other;
Suspicion of ourselves

THEM
Since there was enough
Testosterone
To remove
Any monotonous splinters

Usually.
