There is dust in my eyes—
I was blinded by the rain.
I had fallen in the meadow…
Another sunrise, and another sunset.
They are all the same through this veil.
The wind is perfumed by fresh decay;
Nobody sees the majesty anymore.
Teardrops and dew on the dandelion;
Seeds to the sky find the ground.
There is a candle beneath us,
But the angels have lost the light.
I step inside, the wind is broken:
Another sky that looks so pale.
I see snowflakes among rays
Of a star that chills the leaves.
I will never weep for you again.
I save my tears today for love.
My heart was still for years,
In the frost around you.
I will weep for you no more.
