Re. Jackson Pollock Part 2
"My 2-year-old could do that!"
Don't get me wrong; children's art is pure. But they don't mean it in that sense. Nothing is more pure than an adult who has remembered how to be a child in his heart, and thus expresses it.
Proud of you, Poet! This is your voice!

I don't know who you're contemplating on plublishing with; however, I met this collage artist a decade ago on an art site. He's a dear friend now and I have almost everyone of his books.
They're beautifully rendered.

He's also a published poet, Poet. You may really enjoy the works that highlight both his art and poetry. He also published one of his wife's poetry with his art. Talk about something to leave your children's children.

I haven't painted since I was little ... would love to try it ... but ... given my over self-critical nature ... still ... gives me pause ... thanks Stubbles ...

My very painting was in oil and I had no idea what I was doing. I'm surprised I didn't quit right there. A voice inside told me to try again. I went to acrylic and it all started to come together. Eventually made it to watercolor and gauche.
Translation: try it. Find your inner artist if you are moved by art. It's satisfying .....

I can paint a wall...that's about it. I've tried. Nothing easy about it, if you ask me. Fabulous painting!

I'm not good at walls, too much precision.
My father-in-law was a art historian in 16th Century European art. When he saw my paintings he said that were effective and I was very good at slap and dab. I think it was a compliment but never quite sure .....
Thx W

Thank you for sharing these with us. What a talent. There is such an explosion of form and color in abstract expressionism. It's the epitome of emotion on canvas. It's why I love it so much. There is no identifiable picture to muddy the feeling or emotion of it. What the painter feels while creating it is raw and pure, and what the viewer experiences is raw and pure. Just, exquisite.

Thank you for your beautiful comment.
It truly is a raw and emotional experience to paint these kinds of paintings. This was the first and last Pollock inspired painting that I painted. I always felt that I didn't want to copy some one elses style so I limited it to this one. I am however paying homage to Jackson Pollock for being the first to create this style, Also for allowing other artists to follow and paint with freedom and flow and not be judged for say using latex instead of oil or other mediums.
Thank you E

Re. Jackson Pollock Part 2
Painting is virtually a natural extension of writing poetry. Pollack’s unflinching style suits you well Poe.
I’ve always thought his work was open to a range of truths, but at the core of every painting was a central theme ... reflections on why this thing called life is so damn complex, yet beautiful.
Bravo! on expressing your voice in yet another wonderful medium.
