Rich or Poor it's Good to Have Money

I have cash but I hate how it rules the world ...I'm mental as I give too freely of money...guess it stems from when I scored big on the lottery and the ex just saw me as Mr moneybags.  Hence to say  let's do a shot of some top shelf.

My father had a coin bank back in the 50s through the 70s. Put in a quarter to change the date and an extra one to change the month. Did so for years, (maybe not each day, but caught it up later). Never cashed them in, put them in a jar or can and kept them.

Enter the Hunt Brothers, several years later, trying to corner the silver market, paying 25 times face value for silver coins, (dimes, quarters, half dollars and silver dollars, prior to 1965, had silver content. Finally convinced him to sell them at 20 times face value.

Do the math.

Did a similar thing with some silver quarters I was collecting for years.  Multiple streams of revenue win .....

Hoping copper takes a similar path, the attic is beginning to sag. :)

There's always been enough to see to needs. Occasionally a few frills. Never had much concern beyond that. Still... I'm building for retirement. Ya gotta look ahead

I never appreciated the value of the dollar until I had to solely support myself. Cheers to debt free!
