A Love Poem From An Aromantic (Oh My Oh Me, But Tonight We Are To Ride On Stallions In The Sky)

Let me die a thousand small deaths in between your breasts
Coward I am
Beauty that you are
My biggest regret if not my one and only
That we never did meet and explore each other’s bodies like toddlers on drugs seeing nudity and genitals for the first time

Not even lust
Not just lust
Just us
Justus
Curiosity
“How do you taste?”
Every salty and every sour and every sweet and all this sweat
The smell of my drool on your neck and the dizzying mixture of hormones from our intertwined lovers’ archetype bodies

I do not care for the casting of charts and placidus systems
I toss aside my dignity and sign as libra
Become my pisces twin
Incestuous feeding frenzy
Delirious mating season
The summer nights are hot and magic
Too hot for sleep and much too magic to refuse your afterimage in my skull
Crawling like ink on my bones
Like calavera you christen me in sugar and amethyst crystals
Like a bloodhound train you can smell the desperation in my every word
I am yours
You know I would sit on your throne of wisdom
In your lap as your androgynous queen
King
Check
We fold our fingers and that is mate

I’m smitten and lost
You are more vital than every word I’ve ever committed to memory
I might even dream for the chance to love you
It takes a special kind of voodoo to make me croon like a bard
My word but I am positively weak right now
Positively vulnerable and succulent
And as positively positive as a lost, smitten child can be
When we touch at comfort’s skirts and feel familiar backsides
Lust is on my gums
Infectious laughter inside your burst cheeks

My oh my
Dear me, dear me
Sweet dearie mon cherie
Je t'aime, oui je t'aime
Don’t break my heart with Gainsbourg
This pulse and rhythm in my blood is all I have to know you by
