Led Astray

He cultivates the country's fear
Chilled right to the heart
His entire rule and career
Grotesque right from the start

His towers loom in several lands
Architecture looking sweet
He would insist that each still stands
To make his profits complete

Now he lends his expertise
To how this country fares
But he stumbles to his knees
Beneath both scrutiny and glares

He feels the walls are crumbling in
An investigation underway
Let his questioning begin
And not let the focus stray.
