Despite The Winds
Despite the winds
her name holds to the tip of my tongue
it swirls my mind
and rests upon my soul
her touch holds back hopelessness
and her heart plays a loving beat
my eyes they dance in wonderment
every time she happens by
resound these halls with joy and must
I run my fingers through your hair
lay down with me in new found days
surrounded with love and care
the winds still blow
and rains still fall
but cold, she's gone away
her name holds to the tip of my tongue
it swirls my mind
and rests upon my soul
her touch holds back hopelessness
and her heart plays a loving beat
my eyes they dance in wonderment
every time she happens by
resound these halls with joy and must
I run my fingers through your hair
lay down with me in new found days
surrounded with love and care
the winds still blow
and rains still fall
but cold, she's gone away
