Dancer's Luck

She stumbled to the local bar
Hoping to take a chance
Saw a stranger with a lengthy scar
And invited him to dance

He led with an aggressive pace
The country music playing fast
The scar pulsated on his face
And she sensed the night would never last

But he invited her back to his room
Poured them two stiff drinks
There was a certain air of doom
And his clearly outrageous kinks

He ordered her to strike a pose
Ran hands over soft skin
Presented her a single rose
And said let the dance begin

She stepped until she felt the strain
Then collapsed onto his bed
She didn't mind some coming pain
Or that she might quite soon be dead

But he just settled for a fuck
And said that she should get a life
With mumbled words about her luck
He let drop the switchblade knife.
