blue
the day cry great tears
and I wept with it
she wrapped me in her melancholy
coloring me blue
I sat on the edge of a bridge as she cried
her grief rain down on me
I looked on as the river below flood
and everything was washed away
it look so soothing
to be carried down river
so I climbed in and bid her take me too
she cast her gaze on me
and with compassion answered...
"mortal child if I take you under
this moment will be your last
choose wisely"
"I've watched you from afar
I am the day, I am the dawn
with your soul, you touch many
unique in spirit, today I cry with you"
"my emotions poured out
is a mother's love for her child
let it wash you clean"
the rain delicate now, the river slowed
I wade in, cleansed by the blue
the day witnessed a beauty
rise up from the waters
brand new in her understanding
in me, she saw someone worthy
today my feet find a new path
I begin again...
