silent movie

all of who you are and have become
wrapped in a snappy package
that serves you the lure of all
forced to disappoint so many
for time simply has fewer pixels to occupy
than the blinding light from all those eyes

that i may occupy one
even the tiniest cell
where i can scream my suffering woe
and burn bright white when i believe your gaze aimed at me
flicker as quickly as i can
to have your iris linger even just a bit longer upon me
in fear that my tri-tone vocabulary is just not enough
to relay the ache and need your plums endure
hoping my morse code comes through
and that when i land on red
you charge me like a bull

is my silent movie not enough?
that ive been reduced to a bound nub
plump and mostly blue
pulsing red when your torments blare
and your finger pushes on or off
making me vanish into pitch black darkness
with yesterday’s denials
squirming in my lap

i relish these moments
awaiting fate
awaiting what dendrites and axon will speak of when you wake
till then i ache and ache
