Only Coffee Smokes @ Starbucks

Not familiar with the Renga form so this is a little education, some I truly need.  I love coffee, and I love this.

Beautiful write...I've been going to Starbucks quite regularly in recent times...

It makes a nice point of contact. I’ve written a few poems with Starbucks as the background. “Warhol @ Starbucks”, “Virgo (Rising) @ Starbucks”, & now this one.  Each written a different way. I like the trend.

cells reconnect - phone calls and the elements of a single organism

lovers drop from sight - yes, but if only for and from different reasons and actions.

I taste this like the coffee on my breath

it permeates and energizes my soul.

I’m a psycho for coffee. The title alone caught my eye.

This reads like quiet corner-of-a-dimly-lit-cafe stream of thoughts; I can easily relate

Hi Jade, I put the links of these Starbucks into my favorites so I can visit them from time to time, reading them for pleasures in my spare time. This one is  what I enjoy most. From the image you added on the top of the poem to the form of linked senryu, from the flow of its rhythm to the imagery it created on my mind, all are fascinating to me. My favorite stanzas are:

static music  
poem writes itself  
feral laptop  

and:
 
from different ends  
we wait for break of day  
only coffee smokes

And the theme line "only coffee smokes" really lingers over and over in my mind,  setting me into a very special but familiar vibe, peaceful, lonely but contented... Thank you for creating such a wonderful work for Starbucks fans.
