indifference
inside I'm crying but you won't see my tears
I won't let you claim them as your trophies
your prize for being cruel
I die a little to your casual touch
indifferent attitude, judging me in my sin
honesty pure and unadulterated comes from my soul
you drink from me the finest whiskey
getting drunk off my pain
if only I were less transparent
I would be less of a target
for arrogant minds who've never suffered
with condescending views toward the less fortunate
their truth cynical and judging
they have no compassion outside what they know
children ignorant in their bias
they look down their nose
I crucify myself in my art
painfully honest
even with the ugliest truths
this is a part of who I am
my beauty can be seen in the eyes...
of those who reflect charity of soul
in their love shine found beautiful
