Two Things

I prayed for in this life:  
  to trust another human    
  and to be loved by one    
   for loving another is easy    
       all it takes is control
       but to be loved, ah . . .
       that is letting go
   
When a prayer or two    
  have been answered    
  two things enter my mind:    
   
     What now;    
     am I going to die    
     because I'm finally happy    
   
Yet, I'm still alive    
  living moment to moment    
  doing the next one or two things    
  on my daily calendar    
   
I have learned    
  if we believe long enough    
    think upon the truth    
          
      of one or two things repeatedly    
      they will find us, undoubtedly    
   
Everything we desire    
  is a homing beacon    
    an innate tracking device    
    of charted experience    
   
All that we seek      
  seeks us in return    
    but the world would    
    have us doubt our self    
   
Keep two things in mind:    
  be general in thought;    
  don't box the Universe in    
   
What is meant by that    
  are two more things:    
    imagine it daily;    
    don't imagine how it will come to pass    
        
Believe it will    
  in the Universe's time and way    
  hold on to that belief for life    
     it took 47 years    
     for mine to manifest    
   
I wouldn't change a thing    
   
We are planets orbiting dreams    
  our gravity fields attracting    
  what we think and feel    
   
It's only a matter of time    
  before the vision in your heart    
  is where you'll lay your head    
   
Two things I promise after that:    
  you won't die of happiness    
    nor lack for more blessings    
    than you ever dared    
   
Then fear holds no power    
   even unto the mystery of Death;    
      for what then should you regret    
      when you've been granted    
      the three things you asked    
 
 Yes; I said three, but that third
 is between the Universe and me
