Rockin Chair

Daddy's rocking in his chair
As he listens to his songs
Keeping the rhythm here and there
Smoking his pipe and feeling right
It won't be long and he won't care

Well, he knows bout every word
To anything they want to play
But he only sings along
To ones that have something to say
Doesn't matter if it's metal,
Old country or the blues
His chair will keep on rocking
When there's nothing else to do

Give him a beat that's deep and slow
Or something heavy,  dark and fast
Daddy's going to rock it out
While demons chase him from the past
So play it loud and proud and clear
With amps blasting out the sound
Of the only thing he hears
And all that matters for right now

Daddy,  don't stop your chair from rocking
Sing the ones you love and keep the rhythm
Let it take the heavy load
Yeah,  raise your voice like no one's
Listening

It won't be long now, he'll get there
Burning his pipe throughout the night
Hearing the words that keep him living
Going non stop till he feels right
