For My Dead Girl, Again and Again (Leah, 1987-2018)

day after plodding day,
           every-day,
wake to that hellsucking
            reality
that you'll never see her
            again.

How can a world as preposterous
             as this
one that we have made, be made
              to be
more vapid & meaningless?

this is no joke, and, by the same tale,
               this death is the
               saddest loneliest
joke ever told by man, O, lonely death!
I feel as if i cannot
live in my-self ever again, now that she's
                   dead..........every-day gone.

almost as if you'd never been here
