Summit

Arise, clear your head, child
Wipe your eyes
Open and wide
There's still a mountain to climb
Expose all which your pride would hide from sight
Beyond this valley, there's a lush and green side

Todays the day you start this trek
Treacherous obstacles will threaten the way
Be wary of negative things your head may say
Let positive energy flow through you and feed the ground
Beneath you, one step at a time, remember one thing:

This is for you, the weight of the bones carried on your back
In the pack you've always had slung over your shoulder
More than a few chips and fragments
Whole skeletons collected in the wake of disaster
Greener pastures lie in wait, bury them there, child
Let them rest in peace, finally experience release

Breathe deep, the journey before you is a long one
Much like the one before to the valley floor
It will be hard; this passing hell
But you must endure
Be sure to remind yourself daily:
You are beautiful, even when it feels like a tasking chore
Frailty is the flaking frame of a lover at its core
A warrior faced with the mountain; walls of postwar
Decorated in ore, collect these precious metals
Experiences which have been ignored
Loosen your grip of the skeletons of those once adored

When you reach this destination, the point past that summit
They will haunt you no more, you will be free to explore the forest
Of life and all its wonders and you will be afraid no more
So grab you a shovel child, dig a grave and dig it deep
Upon that site, you will build a keep
A bed in place, with sheets kept neat
Hallowed ground, it will be called Light's Hope
A point where happiness and life meet
With metals and stone earned along the way
Refine them, build atop former days dismay
They are in the past, buried beneath your feet
You've fed the ground
