Last Dance

I can be the bad guy if that's the role that you'd like for me to play
I could play it well, better than Denzel did in Training Day
Or Pacino in Carlito's Way if you desire for that side to arise and be erected
Best believe that what you'll never see is me appearing dejected

So much floating in my head that it feels like I'm drowning
And distilled spirits want me to partake of it by drinking
Swimming in the bottom of some bottles but I won't succumb
That could lead to another affliction of an addiction that'll make me numb

Have me looking dumb for allowing anyone to push me over that ledge
Displaying the history from within the family being brought forth full fledge
I pledge allegiance to the resistance of abusing any substance
I will remain strong through every storm until I dance my last dance
